What is Looxii?

Looxii is a social media analytics platform. To put it simply, we enable you to search for keywords on Twitter and Facebook. We store the search results and you receive easy to interpret, top-level insights into what’s being said about your keyword throughout social media.

We offer three different types of keyword searches to meet the needs of several users, whether they’re marketeers, sales-people, PR pros, small-business owners or data junkies. More details are available on our plans page.

What’s the Looxii story?

We were founded in the Spring of 2009 as part of the inaugural class of Shotput Ventures companies. Since being released into the wild in August 2009 we’ve been working on making the next – better – generation of social media analytics tools.

The name came to us shortly after we started with Shotput. It didn’t really mean anything at the time, it just spoke to our very strong preference for the vowels “o” and “i.”

    Starting as a database programmer in high school, Daniel worked his way into the art and design field, eventually receiving a BFA in Drawing & Painting from Georgia State University. Looking to combine his interest in art and programming, Daniel got his Master’s in Digital Media from Georgia Tech in 2009.

    Adam has a degree in English (language, writing and rhetoric) from the University of Maryland, College Park and he received his MS in Digital Media from Georgia Tech in 2009. Adam’s interests include social media analytics, information visualization, digital design, mapping, cycling and tacos.

    Dave Williams is recognized as one of the nation’s leading experts in online media, social advertising and search engine marketing. He was a co-founder of 360i, a recently acquired digital marketing agency. His most recent venture, BLiNQ Media, is a social media advertising firm that maximizes advertiser performance by targeting and optimizing advertising campaigns based on relevant consumer profile data.
